About Us

Columbia Kitchen, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was founded in Hudson, NY in 2020 and previously known as Columbia County Recovery Kitchen.

Initially a response to economic uncertainty during the Covid epidemic, our organization has grown from preparing and delivering 200 meals per week to nearly 10,000 meals each month throughout the City of Hudson, and all 23 towns and four villages in Columbia County.

Our team currently includes more than 100 volunteers who all share a commitment to eliminating hunger in Columbia County. We partner with farms, community organizations, charitable foundations, and local government to achieve a common goal: GOOD FOOD FOR ALL.

We believe everyone deserves access to nourishing food—no exceptions.
